Scholars-in-Training 2026

Last week marked the start of the Scholars-in-Training summer program at the CHS! Seven students local to the DMV were selected from a large pool of competitive applications. During this six-week intensive program, the students take daily Ancient Greek classes led by PhD candidates from Harvard University’s Department of the Classics. They are also participating in two weekly workshops. The Classics in the Twenty-First Century workshop explores the diverse methodologies, ideas, and areas of study that make up the field of classics. A Professional Development workshop aims at helping these students both to develop skills for academic writing and research and to learn about the many professional possibilities available to students interested in classics.

Listed below are the names of the 2026 scholars-in-training and the high schools they attend.
